Hello everyone! I want to share with you my March 2022 book wrap-up. Some of the books I read are in an audiobook format which I enjoyed listening to while I’m busy in my adult life. I may post another blog related to the audiobooks I’ve listened to lately, but before that, I will now share with you the books I read (listen) for March! 😊
- Call me maybe (Love Lines #1) by Cara Bastone
Rating: ★★★★☆
Date finished: March 1, 2022
My Goodreads short review: I’m beaming myself here while listening to the audiobook. Vera and I have a thing in common – we loved Edward Cullen. 😆
This book was so cute and fluffy. I giggle like an idiot while listening to their conversation. Haha. I felt like I am gossiping about their conversation. 😄
It’s 4 stars for me. I’m glad I found this!
- Sweet Talk (Love Lines #2) by Cara Bastone
Rating: ★★★☆☆
Date finished: March 2, 2022
My Goodreads short review: This is the 2nd book of the “Love lines” duology, this time it is all about Eliot Hoffman (brother of Vera Hoffman from Call me maybe). As much as I enjoyed the first book, “Sweet talk” feels slightly serious, though it still has funny conversations, and the performance of the narrator is still gorgeous. But, if I will compare which book, I like the most, I will choose “Call me maybe”
- Repeat (Larsen Bros #1) by Kylie Scott
Rating: ★★★☆☆
Date finished: March 8, 2022
My Goodreads short review: My final thoughts about Repeat by Kylie Scott:
a. I hope the point of view of Ed was included in the book not only for Clem. I badly want to know his thoughts about the accident that happened to Clem, his ex-girlfriend. And his true intentions and reasons why he suddenly became attached again to Clem after what she did to him.
b. There was at least a back story or more details on their breakup. But, since the past is past for them, my mouth will be in zip mode about this.
c. The repeat was a so-so story for me. And the characters were okay. 🙂
- A vineyard Valentine by Nina Bocci
Rating: ★★★☆☆
Date finished: March 8, 2022
My Goodreads short review: I’ve enjoyed listening to the story of Eloisa and her being an anti-valentine grinch. But since it is a short story, I just get to know what happened, and I got to know the characters very little, but they were likable at least.
- The Mystery of the Blue Train (Hercule Poirot #6) by Agatha Christie
Rating: ★★★★☆
Date finished: March 13, 2022
My Goodreads short review: RTC
- Peril at End House (Hercule Poirot #7) by Agatha Christie
Rating: ★★★★☆
Date finished: March 14, 2022
My Goodreads short review: RTC
- Heidi’s Guide to Four Letter Words by Tara Sivec
Rating: ★★★☆☆
Date finished: March 16, 2022
My Goodreads short review: I have mixed feelings about this, first I liked the narration of the book, especially her podcast. Second, it talks about her growth from being an immature 12 yrs. old girl shy girl who can’t say words such as “sex”, “pussy”, and something like that.
And third… well I don’t know if there will be the third one. Oops.
In the latter part of the story, Spoiler [when she knew that Brent listened to her podcast, she immediately became angry with him, which I think was not that a big deal for me. If I were her in her shoes, I will understand it, and technically her aunt was right, her podcast was posted for public and not for private listening. Duh.]
The story narration was cute, but the plot and characters were kind of okay.
The bottom line of the story: This is Heidi’s self-growth for saying “porn” words.
- My Fate According to the Butterfly by Gail D. Villanueva
Rating: ★★★★☆
Date finished: March 17, 2022
My Goodreads short review: RTC
