Life update: September 2020

Journal

It’s been a while since I posted about my life update on my blog, and I’m so sorry for being mia for the past months because it’s been a busy time for me. Well aside from blogging, I also set aside my reading. I don’t know, a reading slump, I guess.

So, what I’m doing lately?

Aside from work and having a mental breakdown sometimes because of work-related stress, everything seems fine. This pandemic sucks. But I’m still thankful that my family and I are okay, and I have my work so my family and I can still survive in this pandemic. Thank God for the blessings.

As I mentioned, I think one of the reasons why I’m MIA on blogging and reading was because my work took my time to enjoy my hobbies, and because of that, I don’t have the energy to write and read, plus I blame it also on social media. But today I will make sure that I will make time for the things that make me happy. I also started using an app blocker in which I will use it in a certain app in a specified time. I will update you on what will happen after a month.

I’m also glad that today I at least posted this life update, and it’s a relaxing feeling for me to write and share what’s on my mind.

There were also times about exactly three weeks ago because of stress, I cried because of my work and sometimes for no reason at all. There were times that I thought to myself that I want to quit in all of this, but I can’t, and I won’t. I CAN’T because it is not yet the right time to shift or find another job, because a lot of people are losing their jobs because of the pandemic, and I WON’T because, after all this time, I need to be strong and survive this. Anyway, my life update will not all about my stress and this pandemic thing.

Here are some good things that happened in my life until now:

  • I bought a ukulele soprano from a musical local shop I was thinking at that time when I bought it was – it was the right time for me to learn a musical instrument at least. Even if my other goals will not be fulfilled for NOW, I at least learned to play a musical instrument and it was still a big goal to achieve.
  • I saved a lot of money and got more time with my family Because the majority of us are working from home, it means no traffic, and no unnecessary spending or eat out. Haha. I’m very proud of myself that I’m saving.

To be honest, I don’t know what the other things I did during the previous months, because it was an adjustment period for all of us.

But the one thing I am thankful and will be sharing in this life update blog is… I am very thankful and blessed that my family and I are okay and safe during this time.

For those who are reading this blog right now, I hope you are safe. No matter how many challenges we are facing right now, we still need to look ALWAYS on the bright side, and everything has its reasons.
