Yes, you read the title right – I cosplayed last October 31, 2021, or during the Halloween season. And I cosplayed Violet Evergarden, the main character in the anime “Violet Evergarden” (If you haven’t watched it, please I beg you to watch it because the anime is so good). And I’m so excited to share my experience with you on my blog.

Maybe a little background story – since then I was dreaming to portray at least some of my favorite characters whether it is from anime, tv-series or movies. My first ever lowkey cosplay was Sunako Nakahara from the Anime “Yamato Nadeshiko” during College. I was not confident because my costume at that time was not the exact costume or outfit of Sunako, but in the end, it was fun.

Then, my second cosplay was around 2014, I rented a costume at that time, and I was happy because my friends were there when I joined. I joined in the event on the SM Megamall, but I was just a cosplayer at that time and not a contestant in the cosplay contest held in the SM Megamall.

But after so many years I didn’t have that much time to do cosplays because of my work as usual, but this year I decided to make a project to cosplay my favorite character “Violet Evergarden”, and I want to do it on Halloween. So, I prepared at least 1-2 months before to buy stuff related to the character I want to cosplay, and I’m so thankful to find some affordable costume and wig to make my Violet Evergarden cosplay come true.

Then, on October 31, 2021, I did my make-up, photoshoot, and editing. Yes, I did it on my own. Hehe. And I want to show all of you the results:

I must say that I’m proud of how the pictures and my edit came out. I want to cry honestly, and pat myself because I did great! My mother and my siblings are proud of me when I showed to them the results of my cosplay.

If I will recall the moment while I’m doing it, yes it was a hassle to do my makeup, photoshoot, and editing but at the same time, I’m happy. No lies here.

Will I do it again? Yes, because this passion of mine gives me so much happiness.
