That quote I mentioned was the best description for this book. The first time I saw this book I expected that this would be like some of the stories with same concept of young prince that is finding his way to become the next rightful heir or etc.. I ignored this book for a long time, to be honest. I didn’t fully grasped what’s the raved all about because I don’t want to. But, when the time Cassie and Holly Black announced that they were having a book tour here in the Philippines, I decided to check the books of Holly Black, and HOLLY Sh*! I saw Cruel Prince as one of her books. And then I decided to finally read it!
MY EXPECTATIONS ABOUT IT?
I guess my expectation that it was the same as the others were not entirely true.
It was full of magic, faes and also betrayals that I ended loving it so much. At first I don’t know what’s this would be all about, but until I finished the book, I needed an air so I can recover for all the unexpected turn of events. That was so shocking!
The story was really good that I dived myself into the story, and really caught my attention so fast. There were no dull moments for every chapter, there’s also secrets and betrayals revealed that you didn’t know who would be the one to trust.
And for Jude, oh my precious Jude please be strong. You’re the strongest female character in the story. There’s highs and lows in her character development, but she made the best character in the end. And for Prince Cardan, I still can’t decide what was your true intentions, but please don’t hurt Jude so much because I will really cry!
Overall, I don’t know if I am strong enough to face the next book, because I know it will hurt my heart so much. But, Cruel Prince made my book slump disappear. And I’m glad I finally read it!
